Atmospheric advent market

Visitors can look forward to a variety of traditional handicraft products made by small, regional suppliers: Handmade pottery and clay products add to the extraordinary jewelry design, hand-knitted products, rural nativity scenes – and much more.

For gourmets, the Advent market offers lots of regional delicacies and warming drinks: from hearty bacon bread, Lungau bratwurst, donuts to fine Christmas baking as well as punch and mulled wine. The musical accompaniment with wind instruments, music groups and singers as well as the children from the primary school and the Mauterndorf kindergarten ensure a pre-Christmas, fabulous atmosphere. Last but not least, the craft program, the reading corner and baking cookies in the Felsenkeller are absolute highlights for the little visitors!

The Advent market at Mauterndorf Castle opens on Saturday, December 7th and Sunday, December 8th and on Saturday December 14th and Sunday, December 15th, from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Program items at a glance

On all opening days:

1:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.: Atmospheric tunes and Christmas music.

2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.: Supervised children's program with baking cookies, Christmas crafts and a reading and games corner.
