Hohensalzburg Fortress offers customised menu-system tours. Each tour consists of module A and at least two additional modules of your choice. Each module takes around 20 minutes..Total approx. 50-60 minutes.

MODULE A - The construction history of the fortress (an integral part of every tour)
In this module you will learn important details about the origins of Hohensalzburg Fortress.

MODULE B - The Late Gothic State Rooms
In the Late Gothic around 1500, the State Rooms were created in the Hohensalzburg Fortress. Learn more about their origins, the Gothic style of their furnishings and the courtly life of the time.

MODULE C - Fortress construction and defence*
Listen to stories about the construction of the fortress, the defence system and the arsenals.

MODULE D - Courtyards and bastions*
Explore the courtyards and bastions of the fortress and discover the dark and mysterious corners of the medieval castle complex.

MODULE E - Life in the Middle Ages*
For almost 1000 years, the fortress has been guarded or inhabited. But who were these guards and residents and what did their everyday life look like?

MODULE F - Salzburg Bull and view over the city
Enjoy the view over the city of Salzburg and the surrounding mountains and let the Salzburg Bull – a 500 year old mechanical organ – ring out!

All visitors are required to show a valid admission ticket: Basic ticket / all-inclusive ticket / Salzburg Card

Prices for three modules with a ‘Basic’ ticket:

Adults:
Basic ticket €13.30 + three modules €6.00 = €19.30 per person

With SalzburgCard: €6.00 p.p.

Children (6-14 years):
Basic ticket €5.90 + three modules €3.50 = €9.40 per person
or
With SalzburgCard: €3.50 p.p.

Every additional module + €2.00 per person (duration: 20 minutes per module)
