Events in the ceremonial staterooms of the Residenz
The Salzburg Residenz Palace is a true gem in the midst of Salzburg old town. It merges unique architecture and almost extravagantly furnished venues, which make the former palace complex of the Salzburg sovereigns one of the most magnificent event locations today.

Venues
A total of nine rooms, the inner courtyard and the arcades are available to you as an event location. These can host celebrations with 20 to 645 guests.

The history
The first documented reference to the Residenz dates back to 1232. Archbishop Conrad I started the construction of the Bishop’s Palace after the end of the investiture conflict. Several renovations took place between 1519 and 1586, and the Residenz obtained today’s appearance under Archbishop Wolf Dietrich von Raitenau (1587–1612).
More
