Salzburg Residenz Palace

The history of the home of the prince bishops, the Salzburg Residenz palace, goes way back to the late medieval period. The palace was both a place of abode and a reflection of political and financial power for the prince bishops. The magnificent architecture, furnishings and decorations of the former stately chambers and halls were influenced by the renaissance, baroque and classical periods.

Tours for children of various ages enable younger visitors to explore every obscure nook and cranny of the Residenz. Children learn important items of historical information, compiled to suit their ages and current level of knowledge, without losing out on the playful aspects of the learning process.
